The Aulæ Edit

A space for thinking about luxury, honestly, occasionally, without trying to sell you anything.

Why this exists?

There's a version of the luxury conversation that happens at a height most people can't reach. The vocabulary assumes you already know. The tone implies you were always going to belong there.

The Aulæ Edit exists for a different kind of conversation, the one that starts with curiosity rather than certainty. A physician who came to this world from the outside, and found it more interesting, and more human, than it usually presents itself.

These pieces are not guides to consumption. They're an attempt to think clearly about things that are usually wrapped in mystification: what price means, what quality looks like, what it means to develop a point of view.

Nothing here is definitive. Just a perspective, one that might be useful if you're still finding your own.
