Every Item You Buy at Aulæ Now Plants a Tree

From now on, every item you buy at Aulæ plants a tree. One tree per item, not per order: buy a coat and a belt, and that's two trees.

We've partnered with Tree-Nation to make it happen. Here's how it works, how you can follow the trees, and what we will and won't claim about it.

How It Works

Each time an order is placed, our shop records one tree for every item in it, automatically. We pay for each tree, and Tree-Nation channels it to one of its reforestation projects, where local teams plant it.

Every tree is traceable. The trees we fund are gathered in our forest on Tree-Nation: a public page that shows every tree we have planted, updated in real time.

If you've ordered from us, Tree-Nation will also send you your tree by email. You can create a free account to add it to your own forest, or simply let it grow: it is planted either way.

Why Tree-Nation

Tree-Nation has been working on reforestation since 2006. It began with a single project in Niger and today connects companies and individuals with planting projects on five continents. By its own count, more than 48 million trees have been planted through the platform, across more than 80 projects.

In Tree-Nation's words, its projects help restore forests, create jobs and support local communities. What persuaded us, though, was transparency: projects report on their work through the platform, and every tree can be followed rather than taken on trust. For a shop that asks you to trust it with authentic luxury, that standard matters.

What We Won't Claim

This is a subject where words are often stretched, so we want to be precise.

A tree doesn't cancel out the footprint of an order, and we won't pretend it does. You won't read on our site that a purchase is "carbon neutral", "climate positive" or "sustainable" because a tree was planted. Those words promise more than a single tree can deliver.

What we can say is simple and verifiable: one item, one tree, planted through Tree-Nation and visible on a public page. Tree-Nation itself advises the brands it works with to describe what they planted rather than what it cancels out. That's the line we're holding.

Why It Fits Aulæ

We've never believed in buying more for the sake of it. The idea behind Aulæ is to choose fewer, better pieces and keep them for years, whether they're new or pre-owned. A tree for each one is a small, concrete gesture alongside that idea, not a substitute for it.
